FAQ's

  • What should I wear?

    Whilst Riding and Leading a Horse or Pony you must always provide and wear your own:

    • Helmet to current approved standards (BS-EN 1384, PAS 015, ASTM F1163, Snell E2001)
    • Approved Body Protector Level 3
    • Correct Riding Boots – either Jodhpur boots with half-chaps or long riding boots
    • Jodhpurs, Outdoor Jacket and Gloves.
  • What is the minimum age limit?

    Lead Rein Riding Lesson are aimed at 4 to 8-year-olds (30 minutes)

    One hour Riding Lessons suitable for 9-year-olds upwards

    English and Horse Riding Courses are aimed at 9 to 16-year-olds.

  • What if I cannot make my riding lesson?

    We require a minimum of 48 hours notice in via text or email if you wish to cancel your lesson and receive a credit for the following week.

  • How do I book?

    All lesson, camps and courses must be booked and paid for in advance via our online payment page [click here]. We do not accept bookings on the day of the lesson or walk-in bookings.

  • How long have RMEC been running?

    We have been teaching children and adults to ride since 1952 – that’s over 70 years!
